Pleased to meet you. - First published Feb 10th 2019

I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Sam, I'm 38 years old. I like travelling, musicals, shopping and eating out. How lame is this? I sound like I'm trying to advertise myself on a dating website or something. (More on that later).

It’s so difficult to introduce yourself. You feel like you need to sum your life up into 2 or 3 succinct sentences. This is me, this is what I do, this is what I like. In reality, people are so much more complicated than that. We have layers. You can know a person for years and never know everything about them.

So, that being said, what I'd like this blog to be is a mixture of travel stories, opinions, advice and hopefully humour. I’m in my late thirties now and I've had a ton of life experiences. I'm opinionated, sometimes political, a feminist and still in many ways trying to figure life out. Aren't we all? This blog will be many things, a travelogue, a lifestyle blog, a bit mixed up, but there's one thing it will always always be:

Honest.

So there we have it. A little about me.

I’ll be covering a range of topics in this blog so while this isn’t a proper blog, here’s what you can expect in forthcoming posts:

These are just a few of the things I want to write about here. There will of course be other subjects close to my heart and maybe things that will pop up connected to a news story or event or whatnot. Also while I’ll try and post regularly, I’d like my blogs to be well articulated and researched so they may take a couple of days to write. I’ll try and post as often as I can.
